Designed in a Neo-Baroque style by Gabriel Davioud, a 19th century architect who worked with Baron Haussmann and whose most notable works include the Fontaine Saint-Michel, the Théâtre de la Ville, the Théâtre du Châtelet and the former Palais du Trocadéro, the hotel is regarded as one of the architectural masterpieces of its time.

there were some staff who where really helpful

some stuff in the reception who were rude. plus the house keepers does not clean the room well, sometime there was no sapon, plus they did not tide the bed and change it.

there were no problems, check in and out was painless. we had an excellent rate for booking through your website and paying early

small gripe- all products in the mini bar were automatically charged when removed from the fridge- so nothing could be removed to create space for other things (removing hotel drinks to make space for our own food/drinks for example). small issue

My husband could not that it was a Holiday Inn because we usually pull off the highway in the United States and stay at a Holiday Inn. It was absolutely beautiful,elegant and stately.

My husband wished that he could have ice and an ice bucket in the room.

The location of the hotel, place de la republique, is very convenient to
reach any area in paris by metro.

The gym is really not a gym- a tiny room with 2 tread mills and mats.
Internet fee is too high. The staff is inflexible- and only one
concierge guy to deal with a long queue of tourists.

location was excellent, twenty minute walk or quick metro ride to Seine and Notre Dame.Metro station two minutes walk away. good view from room onto square with view of Eiffel Tower in distance. Well proportioned room, friendly and helpful staff.excellent choice of restaurants and bars in vicinity.
